There is like myspace but there are very dangerous people on there that can do horrible stuff. I want a website that has like a backround check about people or that you know are safe. On myspace you can have just a friends list but that is what school, messenger, and a phone are for I want to meet new friends in my neighborhood and have pen pals.

I don't think any site is safe the sick'o will lie about there age or use a younger son or nephew, daughter etc..info to get on the site and there they are.

No you need to not let your teen go into a chat room. There is no reason that a teen should be in chat rooms. I am 16 myself, and i dont understand why they NEED to be in a chatroom. If they need to chat with multiple people at once online... start a new chat room with only there friends.... Or depending on what Instant messenger software they use, set it to record the converstations, or find a free recorder online... Personally i think they would be just fine talking to there friends that they know and have met before...

there aren't safe chatrooms, but there is this website www.call4ally.com. It's safe and 100% monitored. It's more of a blogging website!

any chat room is same as long as you don't go giving out any information. Dont ever tell your location or real name in a chat room, if you want to meet someone, dont go to the internet, go somewhere in real life!
