DiVinyls, the Oz band sang 'I Touch Myself', and this is a very uplifting song. I assume from the predominance of Foreigner on your list, that you are 1- American & 2-like Soft Rock. My first list contains songs on those 2 assumptions, though I'd personally pay more heed to the second list, which is of a more diverse and better quality.

1/ Heart, ZZTop, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Chicago, & Charles and Eddie.

2/ (As most US movies had UK soundtracks) Orchaestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), New Order, Pop Will Eat Itself, Skids, 808State, ABC, the Cure, Eurythmics, Deacon Blue (my girlfriend suggested them), ABC again, Mel & Kim, Rick Astley, the Bangles & of course, Madge Ritchie (or Madonna as she was then). oh and don't forget; ABC.

"Manic Monday" was by the Bangles, and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was by Tears for Fears. That song with "Turn around, bright eyes" is called "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler. All good songs for your 80's jam, to which I would add "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' To Glide" by the Kings, "Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo, "Always Something There To Remind Me" by Naked Eyes, "Talking In Your Sleep" and "What I Like About You" by the Romantics, and finally "West End Girls" by the Pet Shop Boys. Happy listening!!!

Everybody Wang Chung tonight - Wang Chung (I think)
Madonna's early songs like Lucky Star, Like a Virgin
any song by Jefferson Starship
