Personally, I'd rather be a Sith.
They only need one to take out a whole army of Jedis.

Edit: And to all the people who say the Jedi eventually won... yeah, but it took them decades. And they Jedi are NOT really all that.
They can sense things from a planet away, yet they couldn't even sense their worst enemy was living right next door to them? Yoda is the most powerful Jedi, yet he gets his azz spanked by Sidious.
Sidious comes from a back waters, red neck planet and takes over the Senate, then becomes Superme Chancellor and ultimately Emperor. Nice.
He uses Jedi money to fund the Clone secret project, turns Dooku against the Jedi and lead the Separatists. What a coup!
He secretly trains Darth Maul can kick any Jedi's azz (Don't get me started on how much he was robbed in Episode I. He is so much faster and deadlier than both master jedi and Obi to handle. He kills the master and chucks Obi off the ledge, but yet Obi can jump up, flip over him, TK grab Jin's sword and slice Maul in half without any effort? Bullshite!).
Darth Vader used to be my fav villain until it turns out he's just a whiney, burned-up, baby-killer and cripple with emphysema. Oh, and he's the Chosen One, yet he's defeated by Obi who supposedly washed out as a Jedi and was gonna be sent to the agriculture farms. The same Obi who ended up beating Vader, saving the kids, and thus the whole galaxy.
And what the Hell happened at the Jedi temple? Was there no one looking out the window going "Hey.... there's Anakin... with a HUGE army of armed soldiers coming towards us looking ready to open up a can of whoopazz. Uh, guys, we might need to sound the alarms, or something.
The Jedi deserved exactly what they got.

I'd rather be a Jedi, because they're the good guys. The Sith are the bad guys.
In Episode III, the Sith gain the upper hand, but by Episode VI, they are utterly defeated, just as all evil is ultimately defeated.
