He apologized for the remark. What the hell else is he supposed to do? Face it. The momentary traction the GOP had on the Kerry issue is gone. Besides between Boehner blaming the generals for the mess in Iraq and the Haggert revelations no one cares anymore about Kerry.

He would say, "I think this shows the resiliency and sense of humour among our brave men and women serving in Iraq, despite being put a difficult and futile position in this unwinnable war resulting from the arrogance and incompetency of the Bush administration, etc blah blah blah....And despite the fact that their sign is written in jest, it underscores the very real point that they are, in fact, stuck in Iraq, and we need to bring them home as soon as possible."
Not that I agree with him, but that's what he would say.

He'd probably think it was kinda funny.
But then he might openly wonder at why we haven't heard any other organized statements from the lower levels of the military. He might openly wonder at how this message was able to get into the "liberal" media while other messages haven't.
But then he'd realize that yes, indeed the military *has* been able to communicate through the media. You know, like when all those retired generals explained how Bush is screwing up Iraq.

He would probably feel badly but understand where they were coming from because of what he said. Anyone with half a wit would know he really did screw up his joke because he was in the military himself for 20+ years and must not think himself stupid since he ran for president. Kerry did appologize and later said that he was trying to say that the people who had our soldiers stuck in Iraq were the stupid ones, not the soldiers themselves.

Kerry would still not fully own up to his botched mistake and he would still take the stand that this was probably "staged" by the Bush administration. Sad commentary again on Kerry..

He is too stupid to have an original thought. The Democrats tell him what to think. Thanks for the address, it will probably be removed again though.

He would declare them tratiors and beleive because the military have a rule about military in uniform from making political statements, he would want tthem held on charges for breaking military rule.
( because he is such a strong soldier of course)
\
Or me may believe they really want him to help them. ( not get the joke either)
