Need a long lasting vaccumm cleaner that's not $500. I recently had a Eureka and a Hoover both from Wal-mart and they both broke down.

I've never had a problem with a hoover, may want to check your belts or to see if you have a clogged line, could be a simple fix instead of new vaccuum purchase

I have a Bissell vaccuum from Wal-Mart that has lasted a while and I have 4 dogs in the house. :) We've had it for 2 or 3 years and it stills works great.

I have a Hoover Wind Tunnel. I bought it a couple years ago at Wal-mart for $129. It's a great machine for the money.

I presently have a Bissel bagless upright, and I'm happy with it. Dirt Devils are good little machines too: I used to use them as a housekeeper. And lately I've noticed a lot of people praising Dysons, but I think those are a little pricey.

Good luck!

Your best bet is to buy a USED (expense when new) vacuum...such as a Kirby or Riccar. My recommendation would be a RICCAR because to me it is more modern in style and weight then Kirby. Riccar is one powerful vacuum - I have had mine for 6 years (it uses bags) and it is still going strong. I have used it to vacuum our rugs, floors (& the garage)...and we have two dogs and two kids....it sucks in everything. Find a vacuum service center that services the brand you are looking for...for they will give you a warranty that is better than store bought vacuums.

a sturdy pal of mine has one. She says it works o.k.. She has complicated wood flooring, no carpet, is unmarried without youngsters, basically a million canines who's experienced to bypass exterior. perhaps i'm incorrect, yet i do no longer think of those with infants or carpets might locate this to be a sensible product for a complete residing house. customer comments says it would not artwork nicely on carpet, would not have sufficient suction. sturdy success & reward

I have a DirtDevil from WalMart that has served our household quite well. Fairly inexpensive and does a righteous job. There are several styles to fit your budget.
