Should they have a black 007, or continue to use same general discription of the " classic James Bond". I think to magically turn James Bond black would be a retarted idea, and would break of the continuity of the character. This is not like voting for a black president, which I have nothing aginst, but more like having a white guy play " Shaft".

Yeah, it could be a spin off series like what they anted to do with Halle Berry, Make him 009, and have a James Bond cameo to support the movie, I just think it would be retarted to have James Bond turn black overnight.

Totally agree with you! a black james bond is unthinkable, he wouldnt suit the type of character. Shaft and james bond are two characters with too much history to change their characteristics now!! ratings would probably go down... or maybe theyd go up cos ppl would be intrigued???

Sure, they can have a black guy play a double Oh.
But it shouldn't be 007.
They could make him another double Oh. I mean, Sean Bean played the blonde 006 in Golden Eye, and he was great in that role.
And Charles played in the later Bond films, and as the leader of the spec ops team in the first Resident Evil movie. So he could fit the role quite nicely.

You simply don't understand the English class system, civil service mentality; Britain giving a black man a gun and carte blanche to use, would scare politicians to death. Oddly, Felix Leiter of the American secret service changed colour during one Bond movie, having been portrayed as white in previous films, he turned up with an African American skin during a later one, and James still recognised him, without raising an eyebrow (rare for Roger Moore!).
