an as far as why we say it i guess its how we get others ppls attention to the fact that we just hurt ourselves lol

i'm from za, living in the uk, everyone i ever heard always say ow or ouch, but in afrikaans (my parents mother tongue) they say "EINA!" what a crappy dumb expression...oh well...
