It would only be a temporary solution. Sure, he may avoid the inevitable for a while, but ultimately running away is not the answer.
Furthermore, you could end up in trouble with the authorities as well. Not to mention that the money will soon run out and then there's the question of where you and your friend are going to stay long term.
I think the best thing to do would be to have him live with his aunt and uncle for a while. It sounds like this is not going to be a permanent arrangement and he'll be back home in the not-too-distant future. I know you'll miss your friend for a while, but you should not go against his parents' wishes.
I don't know what kind of trouble he got into, but it's nothing that won't heal with time. There will be a reconciliation with the parents at some point and he'll be invited to come back home.

Police is going to look for him. You can keep him but is not going to be forever. Soon he has to face the word. If you run with him is way to nowhere. You did already a lot to help him. To live with aunt/uncle can be new adventure and people in his life, not just a prison or sleeping in the bushes. After few days he is going to face the reality and maybe because of his actions he can get some point of view on his parents, to change their mind?.
But don't be silly and complicate your life to hide or run away - no future.

I'm sorry that in this case you're best friend may be moved away, but you can't risk getting into such trouble by running away with him in your car. I don't think its quite kidnapping, but you could be in some trouble with the law for taking him away in your car.
The best thing to do right now is to tell your parents. If its something that they can talk to his parents about.. maybe that will settle things down to he won't be moved away, or at least so quickly. They need time to discuss and figure out what is best for their son, and honestly, moving away from his parents is probably not the best solution. A kid needs his parents.
I ran away several times as a teenager, but I came to realize how much I needed my parents, and loved them. It takes a lot of growing up, and a lot of years to get there, but it happens.
Yes, sometimes parents are wrong, but its more likely that your friend has done something to upset them, and they are just threatening him. Hey, my mom threatened to put me up for adoption at 15. Those threats tend to work.....

give him up!if u let him stay with u then he'll never learn 2 take care of himself.let him face the world by himself 4 a change.besides,he'll come back sooner or later depending why he got in a big fight anyway.it is probabally because they are having financial problems or worried 4 his saftey and dont want him living that way and dont know how 2 tell or show him.

if he is a minor and you are caught with him, you and your parents could face huge fines and jail time for trying to hide him. Tell him to grow up and be a man and take the punishment that he has asked for by getting in trouble.

You think you are doing the right thing by hiding him, but his parents are prolly worried bout him. If you are a true friend, then you would give him up.

give him up they are not sending him away for no reason. If that is what it takes for him to grow up then he needs to go to his aunts house.
