Whenever we click on the word/excel/powerpoint shortcut it comes up with THIS ACTION IS VALID FOR PRODUCTS THAT ARE CURRENTLY INSTALLED. What now as no-one uninstalled them? Thanks

Delete Shortcuts and Uninstall from Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs. Then Reinstall with Disc containing 'Word/Excel/Powerpoint. Maybe Microsoft Office 2003

they probably are still there its just you cant get at em... either go into search and type the name of the file you want, when it comes up note where it is held and then when you have it you can right click to send the short cut to the desktop. or you can go into program files and find it and left click to reinstal it.. sometimes a short cut will go from the desk top if the computer sees that it has not been active for a while... hope this helps.... from mitchell

Attempt to find the programs from you start button through programs if they are installed they will be found there. It maybe there was a bad link connected to your shortcuts. If this works recreate new shortcuts to your desktop and delete you old ones.

If you have Microsoft Office on a disk or you downloaded a Beta load it again and go custom install then you can pick what you want to install.

maybe they got coruputed somehow or you have a virus. give your computer a scan and then up the installation cd in and select reinstall
