Just because they are well known, why not use the status to promote a cause and also show they are more than just pretty rich faces!

My first inclination when I hear an endorsement by a celebrity is to ignore it. Most of them live in fantasy land and don't know
s^h^i^t from shinola about politics and are so narcissistic, they couldn't care less about anything except being seen and heard.

generalizations are dangerous, since you must realize, that other than the judgement of the whole world, are national judgements, territorial judgements(counties, parishes, states, etc...), organizational judgements, there are also individual judgements being handed out. if there is even one with a pure heart, in any group of more than one, then you shall sin against the one in the grouping, by calling the hole group either good or evil. so you must look at each individual in this case, as to their motif. and if their motif is something other than G-D, then it is for some other vain purpose, to promote or sponser themselves somehow. so stereotyping whole groups is dangerous at the very least. if you do this you had better of had an actual visit from TheG-D telling you so. otherwise you may be endangering your whole family inadvertently. even though a reasonable amount of time is alloted for repentance for anyone. or for someone comming fourth to make the accusation, that you have sinned against them personaly.

I have no issue with it if they practice what they preach-but if not Shut up and act!. For instance there is an ad running with actors in line to vote-I love it! It shows we all have an equal voice if we use it. Good use of celebrity influence.

i think it's good that they're using their celebrity status to help others get involved in causes that are important to them. it helps people think about organizations that they themselves could get involved with.
