2 months ago Dems. Harry Ried, rolled out the 'Real Security Act of 2006', the plan left no doubt that Dems clearly have a plan, designed "to provide real national security, restore United States leadership, and implement tough and smart policies to win the war on terror."

"Unveiled against the backdrop of a new White House media offensive, the legislation spells out the tough and smart path to make America more secure and to deal more effectively with threats that confront America at home and abroad."

Two reasons why you dont hear this.
1. It was killed by the Senate GOP leadership on September 13, 2006 on a roll-call vote that went ALMOST straight down party lines. The same Republicans who killed the Democratic plan now walk around saying the Democrats have no plan.

2. The second reason that the Democratic strategy is so hard to find is that the corporate media continues to let the no-plan nonsense go unchallenged because, I suppose, it would be too much like real work to read the 528-page piece of security legislation that the Democrats tried to pass... THEY STILL HAVE THE PLANS.

You can get the entire text of the Real Security Act of 2006 here: http://democrats.senate.gov/pdfs/RealSecurityAct_2006.pdf but be warned, it's a 1.1 megabyte PDF file of ideas Democrats allegedly "don’t have", and you can see the video of Harry Reid describing the plan here.

So if you've always sensed that Bush, Cheney and the Republicans were lying about the Democratic stance on national security, here's your proof -- please spread it around.

The media lies because all the major media outlets are owned by big corporations, and therefore WANT the GOP to remain in control and keep giving them their free ride.

Even The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central has better reporting than the major networks, and they claim to be fake news.

If you want to see the REAL journalism you have to watch Democracy Now and INN on LINK or Free Speech TV (FSTV).

Its called deflection- liars can determine, yet figures do no longer lie. Paul Ryan provided a vaible plan and Harry Reid known because it DOA until eventually now the Senate had a threat to vote on it. there have been assorted plans provided via the GOP, even Ginrich provided a plan alongside with Herman Cain. The left are scared that's what this is all approximately, they understand Obama is going to lose via a landslide next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. Be arranged it is going to get a techniques worse- Van Jones is merchandising violence next month.

Who do you think owns the media? The media is no longer run by people who think, but by corporate moguls who count money and relish the tax breaks Bush and his cronies hand out to them.

As for the expression 'cut and run' --that simple minded phrase was, still is, being spread by Republicans who play on an ignorant pubilc's fear of being seen as cowardly. That stupid expression sounds more like the mentality that keeps street fights going. Is that how world problems should be handled? It's not how the rest of the Western World thinks it should be handled.

But, hey, guys, we're the big bully boys, right? We know that force is the absolutely best diplomatic way to go. Afterall, that approach taught those folks in Vietnam a thing or two!

Of course, to say that we should be withdrawing our troops in order to let the Iraqis (whose country we invaded on a pretext) start running their own country, would lose the big corporate war machine too much money. Therefore, we really should let our forces stay there and be slaughtered so that Republican egos and pocket books are safe and secure.

Wise up folks; don't be led around by the nose by moronic slogans deliberately designed to play on your basest fears.

Brother, you are not going to draw much but republican fear with this question. The Republicans are about to lose some control over events in the world, and it scares them to death, except that they can blame someone else and have someone else partly responsible for events after the new Congress begins. (Secretly, they like this idea and are sharpening their teeth for the event as we speak)
Republicans of the type that got us in the Iraq War are believers in exacting punishment and revenge on you or anyone who gets in their way to power and money. They actually believe that God rewards them for their greedy behavior and destructive methods in the Middle East.
Keep up the good fight, but be ready to be blamed for solving their mess, it comes with the job.

the media only states what the respective party says and are not supposed to take sides ! if you have noticed through out the years both sides lie and the media is supposed to be non biased. but that is changing we have some very Conservative media and some very liberal and they are taking sides making it harder to get to the truth

Its not a case of who lies but who lies the least these days.I look at the person and not the party.I believe It Is the press that lies the most and the press always favor the Democrats.

I've been searching high and low for any plans, let alone sensible plans, from any Democrat regarding Iraq ... what do you know that I don't? Got any credible, verifiable links to their plans? Care to share?
