It means he does'nt have any problems hanging with you .. just that his girlfriend takes up his time. Probably means that when doing things as a group he'd be up for you being around too. But he's making time to be with his gf at other times.

Stay in touch with him but give him some space with his relationship.

See where he's at .. he might be okay with spending more time with the guys.

it sounds like he is going out on dates with a girlfriend ,no one wants to have a friend hanging around when they r on a date unless u got a girlfriend too and u can make arrangments to double date sometimes

It depends on the friendship you have had before, but I'd say yes. Don't shy away, just be yourself and he'll like you for that or not. But if you are yourself, that's all you can do.
