i woke up and the cat was over me looking at me and when i would get up he'd run off and just look at me but if i went back to sleep he'd come back. i dont understand why this happened. i think he is haunted or something, but my family thinks i'm crasy.

My cat loves to sleep next to my head somehow. He sleeps over the top of my pillow or right next to my face and almost smothers me. He also reaches out with his paw and taps my nose if I do not pay attention to him.
You cat is showing how it needs to feel your warmth and attention.

He is just wanting your attention and wants to play. He feels comfortable enough with you to get so close. You must be a great cat Mommy.

the cat is watching over u and keeping gaurd just like a dog would do , my cat does the same thing

He's just making sure you are his owner. He is keeping watch over you and is protecting you in his own way. Love him for it. When you are sick or tired, he will be there for you to give you comfort.
