Basically it's just that I bought a pre-shrunk shirt that's a little too big, and I'm wondering if it will still shrink.

It will probably shrink about 1/8" but nothing noticiable in size. When they say "Pre-Shrunk" it just means that the fabric has already been processed enough that shrinking will be MINIMAL.

anything labeled 100% cotton can still shrink and will but some items claiming pre-shrunk are better than others some the fabric is only washed and dried once but others are truly pre-shrunk . SO to be on the safe side anytime you have an item you like the fit and it's 100% cotton wash it in cold hang it to dry and just IRON it.

shop on with the label for laundry training and do exactly as they advise, ie hand wash or 30 levels. I consistently dry my specific clothing on a garments horse or washing line to dodge shrinking.

If it is 100% cotton it will shrink but not enough that you are going to see much difference.
