the best way I found is mouse traps ( the snapping kind ) the thing is , do you want to poison a mouse and have it die in your walls, specially since if there is one moue, you can guarantee that there are many more living behind the walls and in crawl spaces. mice are known to carry disease and carry fleas which will jump on to any other pets you may have when they die, not to mention the smell seems to last for years when there is a dead mouse behind your walls.

Following up on a previous answer, another, somewhat more humain way is to get some dry ice and set it in the dinner. . . . errr, rodent's enclosure.
As the dry ice melts, the rodent will fall asleep and die from lack of 02.

And yes, it is better to feed reptiles dead food as they can be injured trying to eat live rodents/rabbits. In the wild such prey can run and the sanke/reptile has to strike and kill quick and stealthly. In an enclosure said food has nowhere to go and will therefor fight back.

Don't. Get a live mouse/rat trap and put it up. When you catch it drive out into the country a bit and let it lose.

if you know sum1 with a cat that is not tamed or doesnt do anything at all!!!! you should ask that cat owner if you can borrow it for a day or 2 and watch that rodent either leave the house or be in the litter box
thats how i got rid of a rodent...it really does work

oh and dont let it outside or the cat will run away!!!!!!

You don't have to kill it just find a healthy looking cat that would best fit you home but you might want to go to a pet shop and get a kitten!

They sell mouse and rat traps and poison, and these real sticky pads that they can't get off of if they run over them. You'll know you've caught it when you hear them squeeling. They also sell these cubes that they can't get out of if they go inside, so that you can take them out and let them go. But those are for the wierd people who think that the aforementioned suggestions are too inhumane.

You put this under reptiles...are you wondering how to kill them to feed a snake?? If so, NEVER ever use chemicals to kill it and then feed it to your reptile - you could poison your pet. There is a way to break the mouse's back or stun it to make feeding your snake safer...you should have your pet store employee/owner show you.
