I was on depo for 4 years when I was told at my next visit that I might never be able to have kids if I didn't stop birth control. Well I wasn't about to let that happen so I stopped. It took me 9 months to conceive. I tried every month whether I got my period or not. There is nothing wrong with trying. Your not going to hurt yourself in anyway. Depo lowers your hormone levels so that you release an immature egg that shouldn't be able to be fertilized. Once your hormone levels regulate again your body will produce mature eggs and nature will take it's course.

This is so weird I had a period on sept. 4 and then on oct. 3 and now I'm preg. I know that doesn't answer your question I just thought it was weird we had the same period 2 weeks in a row. You should wait and have at least 2 or 3 normal periods before ttc after coming off birth control.

Usually you wait 6 months after taking birth control to get it out of your system before trying to conceive

You can try but the thing about the shot is depending how long you were on it it might take up to a year to be completely out of your system so you can successfully conceive.
