That's just moronic! Iraq is spelled with a Q, check any map of the area. Not being able to find it on a map has nothing whatsoever as to why we're at war with Iraq. Sorry you wasted five points on a silly question.....

Iraq shares borders with Turkey, Iran, the Gulf of Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria. There is also a neutral zone between Iraq and Saudi Arabia administrated jointly by the two countries. Iraq´s portion covers 3522 sq km. The country´s main topographical features are the two rivers, the Tigris and the Euphrates, which flow from the Turkish and Syrian borders in the north to the Gulf in the south.
I believe I have just successfully located Iraq.
Now it's your turn. Learn to spell reasons, and use better English grammar. The question should have been: "Why *do* most Americans *spell* this word with *a* Q?
You write better English, and I will point out Iraq for my fellow Americans, should they be interested. Fair enough?

Good thing that girl is hott, Anyways to answer your question, I believe that 1/5th of American's can't locate the US on a world map because a lot of Americans are little kids who haven't been to school yet, also I'm sure there are people out there who haven't had the benefit of receiving a good education such as Miss Teen South Carolina.

Iraq is how we spell it in English. Different spellings always occur when names are translated. For example, the United States is called Los Estados Unidos in Spanish... even though Americans call it the United States. Germans say "Deutschland" while Americans say "Germany."
I would ask you ... how many countries can YOU identify on a map? We know where the Middle East is...we know which countries are there... how much does it really matter to be able to point to each specific country on the map?

You call Americans uneducated while you refer to nations that haven't existed for thousands of years? I'll let that slide if you can find Gaul or Germania on a map. And "Irak" IS spelled with a "Q"!

You are a moron, let me count the ways:
1) It is spelled IRAQ!! And it is easy to find on a map.
2) Assyria is an ancient empire that was overthrown CENTURIES ago.
3) PERSIA is modern day IRAN, not Iraq. Iraq was ancient MESOPOTAMIA.
Dumbazz.

Your just a stupid lib. Iraq in the English language is spelled with a Q. In Islamic language it is spelled with a K. So we spell it with a Q because we speak English. Also we pronounce other Islamic words very differently than Islamic people. The reason is, because we speak English and the English language dictates that we say it that way.

Isn't the real Iraq spelled in Arabic ? Everything after that is the Roman language conversion anyway and nitpicking on the conversion in anal.
If you have some legitimate political issue, you would be better to expound on that than petty spelling.
