Some people can't afford to be clean. It costs a lot of money to be clean. Do the math- soap, shampoo, water, electricity, plus clean towels and clean clothes- clothes washing soap, laundry facilities, transportation to and from the laundry facility. For some it is a choice of which bill to pay.
Most though don't see it as a problem. So, figure why should anyone else have a problem with it. Like the people who don't wipe their faces while eating messy food- it will just get messy again, why bother. Not considering everyone else that has to be around them.

Good question and I think you are all right in your answers. If we could just get these people to realize how bad they smell, then this world would be a much nicer place to be.

I've wondered that myself, actually......
I work in sales/reservations and I come into contact with lots of people every day....and I can't even count how many people I've smelled before they were 20 feet in front of me. Ugh.
And people that douse themselves in perfume/cologne make me sick. Literally! I get sick to my stomach.
