So like I started my period this morning as usual and it hurts more on the first day then it ever has before, like ever since I started. I have really bad cramps and I just don't feel well at all. It is normal for me to be like nausous and have some cramps but not like this. I don't know I was just wondering if any one has had experience with periods that are worse then usual and how to feel better. Thank you

I have been having periods for close to 10 years and I had a very slight chance of being pregnant but not much. I am currently not on birth control either.

How long have you been having periods? the intesity can change if you haven't been having them long. Also change in activity can be a factor. Were you really active then stopped or vice versa? Try exerise and a hot pad on you abdomen. If the cramps are too much to bear then see a Doctor.

Hi CKS, I too like you in my younger years had terrible cramps. If i went to school i would end up at the nurses station and i would sleep through 3 classes.I didn't start feeling better until i had my first daughter. It changed my system some how and i never had those terrible cramps again. If you are prengant this could be causing you more pain. I would go see your doctor A.S.A.P. Just to be safe. A Friend.

Depends if you are on birth control pills or not. If you are not regular every single menstrual cycle can differ. Do you have a chance of bieng pregnant? if it is heavier than normal for more than a couple of days, i would advise your ob/gyn of this. Sometimes if you have ovarian cysts, this can cause more pain and discomfort as it is trying to pass through.

If you have one, lay a hot water bottle on your lower abdomen or lower back, take some Tylenol which is safe whether you're pregnant or not. Lie down, cover up, stay nice & warm and get some rest.

hello there. I, also am plagued with bad cramps. I have a prescription, however it does not always help. Heating pads ARE AMAZING. I have also heard that taking calcium helps reduce cramps and aches as well. hope this helped! =)

This sometimes happens to me. Try drinking hot liquids such as hot tea or hot chocolate, this helps a little. Sit on your knees on your floor, puts your arms straight out in front of you, touch your belly to your knees and stretch. Exercise may help too.
