Check your telephone book and look for modelling agencies, they will ask you for a full length photo and a head shot.
Get appts with as many agencies as you can and hopefully you will get word from one that the would like to enlist her.
You could always speak to a professional photographer and ask him/her to help you out with a portfolio (they can range anywhere from £150 upwards depending on what you want), it could come in handy for the modelling interviews as this will enable them to see exactly how your daughter will look in certain poses and against certain backgrounds.

You start by taking her to a fashion school like Barbizon or John Robert Powers and they will interview her and tell her what it takes. It is HARD work and somewhat expensive to get started in.
The first modeling class we put our daughter in was $ 1200.00 plus she needed a $ 500.00 portfolio, contacts, and professional hair styling. We could have continued classes if she had wanted but they would have cost even more. She, however, would have been able to audition for several modeling jobs during her first course. The two companies above act as modeling agencies as well for the girls' first jobs.

I started modeling when I was around 15. So not too far from the age of your daughter. What I did was went to a fashion photographer got my picture taken in 3 different outfits and I got comp cards made with those 3. I sent out the comp cards to different agencies and I got calls within a few weeks and signed my modeling contract.

It is a long and difficult process. Make sure she is truly serious about this kind of profession and not just obsessed with it. It is a frustrating, expensive and often depressing road. If you have the money and feel like she is mature enough to handle the rejections and criticism, what you need to do first is find an agent. Like I said, this is an expensive road to take. The agent will help you find the kind of things that she can start to enter, beauty pageants, talent contests, small modeling agencies to start. Just remember that your daughter will need lots of help and support from you. She cannot do this on her own, especially at this young age. You will need to keep an eye on her that she won't fall into the crutch of eating disorders and keeps herself healthy. Good Luck and I hope she succeeds!

Find a modeling agency. Be totally involved because from experience I can tell you they wont put 100% care in what is her best interest and will take advantage that she's a child. It's a tough business but is worth it if you have a back up for when your time in the spotlight ends.

11/12 child model, this is nothing short of bordering on pimping, or prostituting your child, shame on you, make the little brat wait till she is old enough to cope with the emotional fall out or you will have another Charlotte Church on your hands, uploading photographs of her breasts onto the Internet, oh, and as for Ms Church, she was the voice of an Angel? Yeah right! Keep her as a 12 year old she will grow up soon enough, trust me.

Join a casting agency for a start, that could lead to TV appearances and a chance to be in a film. Get a portfolio of GOOD pictures to show the potential.
Please, don't let her starve, that practice is on the way out.
