yes stress can make big changes in your period, as can increased or decreased exercise. heck, just be happy it's lighter for a change!

Yes, actually there was an article in Newsweek not too long ago about how stress is making many women stop having their period at all. Some women in the article had gone years without a period.

Yup. Even though we would all be greatful for a lighter period, stress isn't healthy for your body, even if it means less blood dripping from you.
