All for it - if you kill you deserve to die. Who's to say you won't do it again? You have already ruined a family's lives, the least they deserve is to know that you won't be there to do the same to another innocent family. And you shouldn't have to wait around in jail forever either - jail's are already way too crowded of people who have commited minor crimes.

Against it. Not that certain people shouldn't be removed from society for our safety, like serial killers. However, we've got two big, big problems. The first, and by far the most serious, is that our justice system is flawed. We don't know how many innocent people we have executed, and even one is way too many. Also, justice is hardly blind, as a black man is far more likely to be executed for the same crime as a white man.
My other problem is that we use it far too often. In my view, the only people who should be executed are unreformable sociopaths. Serial killers, certainly, or anybody without a conscience. I don't want to do it out of a sense of an eye for an eye, because I don't think that's a good principal. If we execute someone, it should be because they are a danger to us and it is unsafe to have them on the planet. Again, serial killers. Not, however, some kid who was forced into a life of gang violence due to his surroundings. This is one for the psychologists, not really me, but if there's a chance for reform there, I don't think we should kill them.
But, yeah, until we can know for sure that we're doing it to someone who won't reform, is definitely guilty, and it's not just because he's black, then no executions.

I am for it especially in child rape/murder cases and smoking gun convictions. I believe it should be carried out within a couple of months of sentencing instead of the current 15 and 25 years on death row that have become the standard. They get 3 squares a day and have no bills and no responsibilities and it's not right!!!

Yes, "against" - it doesn't make it any less emotionally painful nor does it suggest that our lives will be free of the nightmare of the murder; however, I believe that nature will balance; karma will serve; God will judge. Our Judicial system allows for the conviction and execution of people who take a life and though I do not agree, I have to honor this system. Tough question.

Against, because if for some reason you are wrong in the facts of the case, the wrong person is killed, it would negate everything that the cause of execution would stand for.
And why bother, life is short.
We'll all answer for everything any ol' who.
Life is a "Death Penalty..."

I am for the "Death Penalty" but only in cases where the person or persons have been proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Some crimes are so heinous that it begs for the death penalty.
What those crimes are, is another question.

Well that depends upon circumstances...As far as am concerned,am with it. For me it's the best solution to reduce crimes.i do not say it shall apply to all types of offences but only to severe ones. It's not acceptable that a murderer is enjoying life in jail...having food at given times, drinks, watching tv,as though he is enjoying holidays

My Politically Correct answer is that I'm against it. If someone were to kill someone I loved, I'd ask to be allowed to give the lethal injection.
