Halloween is not like Christmas where it has a sacrete meaning to it. Its just a fun event. If he is not into that sort of entertainment than I do not see the reason for you to get involved with it. If you dont have your partner to enjoy that fun with what is the meaning of getting involved on your own?

Why do you celebrate Halloween? If it is because it is a day you can be a kid again, dress in funny costumes, and eat candy, then go for it. If you are celebrating Halloween because of some devil cult, then he might have a legitimate issue. Remember, we cannot celebrate Easter because of the Easter Bunny and we can not celebrate Christmas because of Santa Clause, therefore we can not celebrate Halloween because it is All Hallow's eve? The day before All Saints day? Sounds more like a wet blanket than a religious thing.

I would recomend listening to him. Halloween is one of those things that is questionable from a Christian perspective. Some Christians celebrate it and some don't. It wouldn't hurt to miss it though. Things like this are great chances to prove to your husband that you care about him more than anything or anyone else in the world and that your love for him is second only to your love for the Lord.

Tough question. Has he given you reasons for not wanting to celebrate Halloween? Is it because of religious differences? Personally, I don't think Halloween is a holiday for Christians anyway. As long as your husband is not telling you do anything unreasonable, as a Christian woman you are supposed to follow him.

Of course. your husband should be more important than Halloween. if you are Christian you should know that there is only one head on the family.
Or you can just change religions and worship the devil and YOU will be the head of the family and always decide whats good for you. HAVE ANOTHER APPLE!!!

Depends. Is he telling you this after prayerful consideration? Have the two of you discussed this and come to the conclusion together?
He is to be the Christian leader of the family. He is to love you (like Christ) enough to give his life for you. Does he? Or is he trying to be your lord & master? Is he walking closely with God and complying to His will?
Only you can answer those questions. And you do know the answers.

yes. if you are a good, REAL Christian woman you should submit to your husband in ALL ways. Do what you are told to do. He is your husband. Listen to him. If he is asking you to do something that is morally wrong, then talk to your pastor, but remember there is one head of the family. If he leads you wrong, he will answer for it.

Yes. You should never go against your husband's wishes unless what he is asking you to do could hurt someone. Skipping Halloween isn't going to hurt anyone, do as he says. If your kids don't like it, tell them to take it up with him.
NO BODY LIKES WOMEN WHO TRY TO "WEAR THE PANTS" , christina c. It's not natural.

Does anyone really care about that line? This is 2006, damn it. Women can do whatever the hell they want and their husbands don't have to care.
