I'm flip-flopping on this one. The other Broncos RB (Tatum Bell) might not play much. The Steelers haven't exactly been dominant against the run this year.

The Lions could fall behind early to the Falcons potent attack and then abandon the running game. But Kevin Jones also scores fantasy points by catching the ball, too. He has 37 receptions this season already.

The most well-reasoned answer wins.

Well, the question is not a hard one. Your facts are confusing you and that is why it is a hard question. No running back this year has gained over 100 yards against the steelers. NOBODY!
Here goes the breakdown for you:
week 1: r. brown(mia) 15 rushes for 30 yards. . . long 8
week 2: f. taylor(jax) 22 for 92. . . .long 25
week 3: r. johnson(cincy) 19 for 47. . . . long 8
week 4: LT(SD) 13 for 36. . . .long 12
week 5: LJ(KC) 15 for 26. . . .long 8
week 6: w. dunn(atl) 26 for 69. . . .long 9
m. vick(atl) 5 for 40. . . .long 14
week 7: j.fargas(oak) 18 for 55. . . .long 9
l. jordan(oak) 7 for 21. . . .long 7
the total for all of this. . . . . 46.2 yard avarage. GO FIGURE!!!
and these are your main backs for there respective teams, too.

Sooooo. . .like i was saying, it is not the question that has you confused, it is your facts. Here go the facts for you and you should not have a problem now making a decision. I have Tatum in my league and he is on the bench. I also have rudy johnson from cincy and he was on the bench. And here goes one more stat for you, Atlanta gives up 94.9 yards per game.

Sooooo. . . .who do you think you should start? How can you run against a defense designed for the run only? The different blitz schemes they run, and how well they cover the field. The Broncos wideouts are not that good so one on one coverage with the strong safety back will be all they need. they will bring 7 sometimes 8 in the box. The Steelers have giving up only 4 rushing touchdowns all season. 2 to Brown in week 1 but since then. . . one to Larry Johnson(wk5) and the other was Warrick Dunn(wk6).

Just be smart. . . .Go to nfl.com and find out for yourself if you dont believe me, then you can come back and vote this answer as the best.

Kevin Jones, he has been developing into a consistent threat and Atlanta does have to respect Detroit's passing offense so he should have some room. Mike Bell did have a good game last week but it was against the last ranked run D in the league so he is more of a gamble at this point.

The Steeler D is in the top 10 vs the run so mBell would definately be a big risk, not to mention Shanahan and is back by committee crap could come back to burn you. K jones is a much better choice in this situation. Don't give the Steelers current record too much consideration, they have lost two very close games and their Offense puts that D on the field in bad situations.

steelers held larry johnson to 15 Rush, 26 yds
1 TD, but gave up 2TD to Ronnie Brown in wk one, even if the dont give up alot of yards on the ground they are giving up the paydirt. all the backs that have been held scoreless averaged 15 carriees per game. how many times does denver run the ball, alot... theyre gonna get into the endzone steelers d will wear down and tatums toe isnt 100% either. Mike takes the bulk. detroits is going to try and keep up, its going to continue to be a passing offense and i think KJones puts up a big goose egg and less than 100yds combined

Mike Bell. Bronco's protection could desire to save massive Ben and company off the sector and Denver likes to run the ball. Kevin Jones has been on objective to have his terrific occupation end yet I see them falling at the back of and turning to Furrey and Williams to stay interior the recreation.
