I had two wisdom teeth pulled 3 days ago. I was given gas, IV anethesia and pain killers after. I was a few days late when I got my surgery, but that is not unusal for me. Today, I relized I am 1 week late and took 3 pregnancy tests. ALL came back as postive. My husband is excited and not worried at all. His reponse is "I am sure plenty of people have had worse done and had perfectly healthy babies". I am soo upset and nervous. Did anyone else have an experience like this. It is my first pregnancy.

First of all...congratulations on your pregnancy!!! You and your husband must be thrilled.

Please try not to worry so much. Before I new I was pregnant, I was drinking like a fish (it was the holidays) and smoking up a storm. I also used chemicals that say..right on the bottle.."genetically altering." I FREAKED OUT once I found out I was pregnant, but guess what.... I now have a beautiful, extremely healthy 8 week old.

It's probably not going to help to hear "don't worry," because you are so concerned about your baby's welfare...but I'll say it anyway... DONT WORRY! Your baby will be fine. Just call your doctor and tell him what happened...hopefully he will able to ease your mind better than we can.

Good luck on the rest of your pregnancy!

Need not to worry. When you go and see your doctor inform of what you had done especially about how much of the pain killer medicine you took.

I had a route canal and I was pregnant with my second daughter. I had Novocaine too and she is very healthy and vibrant.

Don't stress about too many things. I know that is your first pregnancy and things are very awkward at the moment but as time goes on you will feel a whole lot better if you stay calm and relaxed.

Make sure you read and much as you can. And watch what you eat and of course get plenty of sleep (you will miss this the most when the baby comes). Also keep a journal and note any questions you may have so when you do go to the doctor you will be able to recall what you need to discuss.

Good luck and you will be just fine...Stay encouraged!

I am pretty sure you will be fine. Make sure you get in contact with a doctor and let them know as well as setting up an appointment. Start taking your prenatals.

Btw: My sister was given lortab 5's for medical reasons while she was pregnant and the baby turned out perfect. Just don't take them habitually.

I had two teeth become absessed while i was pregnabt..there was no way i could wait till i had my daughter so my dentist went ahead and pulled them....i had pain kilers and stuff...it turned out ok. Everyones different. I had a huge scare like this though when i was on birth control and was going out and drinking and smoking cigerettes ...then found out i was 2 months pregnant...scared me to death worrying over it all the time. Thank God everything turned out ok. Good luck with the baby and Congrats

i actually had the SAME thing happen to me!! i was 16 years old and i didnt know i was pregnant (i was about 1 1/2 months along) and i had all four of my wisdom teeth cut out and i was put to sleep. when i found out that i was pregnant, i freaked out. i thought my baby was going to have all kinds of stuff wrong with it. turns out that my baby was a-ok she was as healthy and as beautiful as can be!! my doctor told me there was nothing to worry about, and i didnt believe him until i finally had my baby. i wouldn't worry about it, that can just cause stress for the baby now. just eat right, take care of your self, and get plenty of rest. everything should be fine. just enjoy the pregnancy!!

really , i highly doubt any harm was done, i had mine out shortly before i found out i was pg as well.. a friend of mine had an upper GI before she found out she was pg (a lot of radiation, way more than a typical xray). anyway both our babies are fine :) I think yes you can do harm to a fetus early on, but thats mostly accomplished by things you continually do, like smoke, drugs, drink, etc. if you had a few drinks before you found out you were pg im sure you'd be fine but if you were drinking every day excessivelY? probably not good.

It's probably fine. I took birth control pills into my second month and everything's fine. I would think that would be more damaging than short term use of pain relief. You may want to double-check with your doctor just in case but I think you'll be fine.

i did exstacy and two days later found out i was pregnant, and my child is 5 now and she couldnt be any healthier... No its ok, a lot of people do FAR FAR WORSE. Really do not worry, that will release worse chemicals in your body for your baby.

don't panic. you need to set up a prenatal visit and discuss the situation with your doctor. i'm sure that will give you peace of mind.
