roughly? well its a group based society where everyone tries to work as a group, when people introduce themselves to you they may introduce themselves as 'Mr Suteki from the so&so company. alot of indervdualism was supressed but in recent years it has been more emphasised and the progression in society has had wonderful effects because of that.
Everyone in Japan is Japanese, at about 98% nihonjin I think, the rest are mainly korean/chinese but even though they are born and raised in japan and know no other home, they are still referred to as 'forigners' by the japanese. anyway there is heaps to know, you should go get out a book from the library or do some surfing the net. japan is a great place, and make sure you learn the language and customs before/if you go so that you can make the most of the experience.

No and being that Buddha used to be an Indian, it could be instead ridiculous to recollect their society a racist up bringing. Their are many different races dwelling in Japan. What Japan probably accused of is having a few remnants of an imperialist natured nation Imperialism, as outlined via Dictionary of Human frame , is "the production and/or preservation of an unequal monetary, cultural, and territorial courting, mostly among states and frequently within the sort of an empire, centered on domination and subordination."
