Come on, you and I both know it's Man Utd. and will always be. People hate them due to jealousy at their fan base that extends worldwide and that they have bagloads of dough. Plus always being on TV and all the history and hype.

Either Man United or Chelsea. Probably the same reason in that they have both been through 'phases' of being unbeatable arguably because they have been tactical buyers. They haven't bought players to put them in their first team, but to stop others from having them. The most recent example probably being Sean Wright Philips for Chelsea. Bad career move. Also because they are very very rich clubs which means that certain other clubs don't stand a chance because they can't bid for the better players once Man U or Chelsea or similar have put a bid in. Arguably as well, once they have scored a goal, rather than making the game interesting a scoring more goals, they tend to play very defensively and can be guilty of therefore making the game quite dull as a result. Just my opinion.

I personally hate Man Utd most, mainly because most of their fans are glory hunting souterners and have never been to Old Trafford, which I know is a shallow reason.

I reckon the most hated team in the premiership is Chelsea because of their whinging paranoid manager and the fact that their expenisve team is full of players who fall over at the tiniest bit of contact...and get away with it.

The most hated team in the premiership is usually the team that are doing the best so it is based on pure jealousy.

As an American transplant, I don't hate any of the teams (goes to show what I know, eh?). But I do know the EPL is the best league - far less diving than other European leagues.
But that said, probably Man U. I follow Arsenal myself, but I can see why people hate Man U - they win and often break an opponent's heart in winning. Chelsea can also fall into that catagory. But how can you hate Scholes or Lampard or Terry? These guys play hard. And play well.

Well, now it's Chelsea. Man Utd is the standard answer, but it seems that between Mourinho's whining, Drogba's diving, and Abramovich's Steinbrenner-like spending, that Chelsea gets alot of the bile once reserved for the Red Devils.

Don't listen to osprey, he's just another jealous sad sack Mackem...

Oh, and afclad, that's *rich*! Coming from an Arsenal fan. If it wasn't for Abramovich, Arsenal would be coming up quite a bit more, if for no other reason than you're managed by Whiny Wenger...

Not that we don't hate Tottenham too, but I digress...

Usually the one that won the Premiership most recently (or the most times) - and always dicks your team!

Newcastle! the usual cries of man u Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea are because their fans and these clubs flaunt themselves but with good reason they,ve won things and praise is showered on them from far and wide, deservedly so, praise is showered on Newcastle but it is by the local press and their docile fans who keep telling us that they are the eighth biggest club in the world, after todays result I wonder if they would qualify as the eighth biggest club in the premiership, but every thing will be ok when shearer decides it,s time to become manager personally I can,t wait for the day he does but I don,t think shearer would be so stupid, I think he might even prefare SUNDERLAND a far bigger club

I find that many people hate Chelsea because of the proud coach and because they have a lot of money so they can buy anyone they want. But they're really a strong team. They got a tallented coach and many good soccers and that's why I love Chelsea.
