Mr. Clean Magic Eraser......or any of the "store brands" that work just was well and are much less expensive. This will remove the scuffs about 100 times quicker than a mop or rag. A little water and a few strokes and you should have a clean floor.

A product called: Never Dull. It actually is a brass cleaner, polish.
But I learned in the military that it is EXCELLENT at getting "smoke stack" marks off the floor.
Thats what we used to call the black scuff marks that shoes leave. Just a little rub and they are gone, leaves no residue or marks of it own either. Doesn't dull or remove the shine or finish of floors.

we have this chair that for some reason always scuffs up the floor. When I spray a bleach kitchen counter cleaner on it, it gets rid of them. This stuff does not actually bleach things, because it doesn't get rid of the colors of anything when you use it. I believe it is lysol brand, but I could be wrong.

My mom is a little wary of me using it on the floor as she fears it will remove the glossy surface. But in my mind, a removed glossy surface is not as bad as big black scuff marks!
So that is something you might want to consider if you can't find anything else that works.

"Goo Gone" you can get it just about anywhere. It's an orange liquid in a small spray bottle and it works like magic for scuff marks.
