I asked this last night and got no answers so here goes again..... The oven will turn on and cook on the lowest temperature but turning the nozzle has no effect on the size of the flame/temperature. The grill and hob work fine. Anybody had a problem like this? How much for a corgi registered man to come out and fix it? It's a year old.

Sounds like the FFV unit see if any thing has boiled over and is partly blocking the burner. The prob on the valve is a thin wire type end about 1.5mm in diameter and about 45mm long it is positioned to lie across the end of the burner in the flame. Unusual for it to fail at 1 year old so it may have been knocked out of the mounting when cleaning.
A valve is around £ 60 and fitting less than an hour. Have the cooker details at hand when you ring an engineer.

CORGI installer.

I would say that your oven temperature control is bad. The flame stays the same size no matter how high you set the temperature. When you speak of turning the nozzle, there is an orfice that goes into the burner, you can turn this to get a higher flame. But the temperature control manages the amount of heat in the oven.

Sounds like the flame failure device as already mentioned, take a look at the burner at the back of the oven there will be a small phial make sure the flame is playing on it, clean any food spillages off the burner other than that I would recomend a corgi registered gas engineer. as messing with gas is obviously best left to the pros.

It could be one of 2 things ..the nozzle as you call it is not opining the gas properly there for the nozzle is naff or
your gas is restricted from entering the burner in the oven ..check to see if the burner is sitting in it's place properly..and check the nozzle by pulling it out and to see if it's not worn where it fits on the oven .what you look for on the nozzle is ..where it connects on the oven ..it should look like hollow D shape yes a D shape
normally they wear after few years..good luck ..lol..
PS ..how much for a corgi registered man / woman
well how long is a piece of string

Sounds like the flame failure device is broken. Ovens are designed to light on very low flame and only when this flame is detected by heating a liquid inside a phial causing it to expand and open the gas fully will you get flame big enough to cook on.

As to cost. First of all depends on cost of part. Clearly if you know model of cooker you are in a position to ring up and ask people what they would charge to change FFD.

As previous poster says if not in correct position in flame also won't heat up properly so may just need repositioning.

This happened to mine and the problem was the thermostat which regulates the oven temperature. If it is only 1 year old is it still under guarantee?
