Because liberals bring up Bush and his faux paux from way back then. Turn-a-bout is fair play.

Just because it sounds so awful and it's hard for people today to believe that people back then weren't prosecuted for any accident that had to do with drunk driving. Or drunkenness in general. If ANYONE back then had been arrested for exactly what he did, we would have thought the law crazy. My husband had a friend who accidentally shot and killed a friend at a drunken party where they were playing with an unloaded gun that got loaded. Nobody went to jail-that's just the way it was back then.
Seems like Republicans are trying to keep their party angry at Dems and ignore what's really happening in their party.

Because Ted Kennedy basically got away with vehicular homicide.. Don't think for a moment if this had been a Republican that was involved with the crash, that the Democrats would be singing like canaries about it every chance they got.

i am a republican and never understood this either. it usually just comes up when he comes up and is just kind of a topical joke. but personally i have never gotten it. what are they accusing him of anyway, being evil Knievel and flipping his car off of a bridge performing a Houdini escape and swimming like mark spits to safety in order to kill someone? if so he should be a super spy. im no fan of his but i have always thought that this is unfair.

Cause there is no statute of limitations on murder.
And it shows what kind of person you keep voting for.
It also reminds you of the hypocrasy you show when you scream out about People like foley, yet give standing ovations to pedophiles like Barney frank, who by the way actually got caught screwing a kid.
