With the xbox 360, can you still save games without a 20gb hard drive? What are the benifits for the 20gb hard drive?

You can still save games on a memory card. But you need a hard drive to save games like The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. And like the guy before me said you need one for videos, pictures, downloadable content, music, and demos. If you do not have one I strongly suggest you get one.

with the hard drive, you can not only save games, but also download games, watch previews of games, previews of movies, save music, pictures, videos, surf the net, etc

You also need the harddrive to be able to play the Xbox 1 backwards compatible titles. (you also need an internet connection for that).
