Pro-choice refers to people who support a pregnant woman choosing whether or not she wants to birth or abort her fetus.

Pro-choice is easy to understand, however many conservatives prefer to call it pro-abortion.
In fact it is nothing more than allowing the mother a choice wether to have the fetus become a child or end the pregnancy.
A person can definately be against same sex marriage and still be pro-choice.
The choices are more than conservatives admit to.
Choice one: Allow the fetus to become a human life and deliver it and raise it.
Choice two: Allow the fetus to become a human life and deliver it and put it up for adoption
Choice three: Have an abortion and have the fetus removed from your body.
Good Luck

Pro-choice is exactly what it says pro=to believe in or support and choice=the power, right, or liberty to choose; option, the narrow scope believes it is strictly about abortion but it is more. To be pro-choice means that you are willing to accept a persons right to make their own decision and even if you don't agree you defend their right to make that choice. Suppose your friend was treated unfairly for being a vegan-you may not agree with their choice but you would defend it-right? Same thing with ss marriage-if it is a persons choice what business is it of anyone to interfere-it harms no one and nothing. There are those who say it degrades marriage-but if that's the case so does living together since it lacks the commitment marriage purports. I choose to not poke my nose into adult decisions, and to defend their rights to make those choices. I will however jump and scream, fight and shout to my death to protect a child, since they are not equipped or allowed choice. If one chooses to be anti-choice I hope they are ready to be denied it.

I'm not sure you would want to be called pro-choice, not that you shouldn't or couldn't...your views may be thought to be something different if you simply say you are pro-choice without explaining your limitations. You could say that you are pro-choice when it comes to certain things but you feel the need to draw the line somewhere. It's up to you, I'm 100% pro-choice. Have a good day!

Pro choice refers to abortion and a womans right to choose. When you are pro choice, you support the woman's right to have an abortion. Pro life means that you are in support of lawmakers banning abortion. It has nothing to do with same sex marriages so yes, you can be pro choice and against same sex marriage at the same time.

It means not anti choice, like China. Where if you get pregnant and you already have two kids, you don't get a choice it is off to the abortion clinic you go.
SS marriage? I say yes! Why should the homos be any happier than the rest of us.

Pro-choice is a term used to describe the political and ethical view which maintains that a woman should have total control over her fertility and pregnancy. This entails the guarantee of what supporters term reproductive rights, which include access to abortion, contraception, sexual education and fertility treatments. Individuals and organisations that seek to support this stance, both in terms of legality and availability, make up the pro-choice movement.

Pro-choice activists believe that abortion should be a legal option for any woman with an unwanted pregnancy. Some see abortion as a last resort, and focus on a number of situations where they feel abortion is a necessary option. Among these situations are those where the woman was raped, her health or life is at risk, contraception was used but failed, or she feels unable to raise a child. Some pro-choice moderates, who would otherwise be willing to accept certain restrictions on abortion, feel that political pragmatism compels them to oppose any such restrictions, as they could be used to form a slippery slope against all abortions.[1]

Pro-choice activists frequently oppose legislative measures that would require abortion providers to make certain statements (some of which are factually disputed) to patients, because they argue that these measures are intended to make obtaining abortions more difficult. These measures fall under the rubric of abortion-specific "informed consent" or "right to know" laws.[2]

On the issue of abortion, pro-choice campaigners are opposed by pro-life campaigners who argue that the central issue is a completely different set of rights. The pro-life view considers a human fetus/embryo to have the full legal rights of a human being; thus, the right to life of a developing fetus/embryo trumps the rights of a pregnant woman to use abortion as a means to control her fertility.

pro-choice is usually used in the context of abortion: it means you believe the person in the best position to make a decision is not a government of religious authority, but the woman whose body is at issue.

same-sex marriage is a differnet issue, and not one that the term pro-choice is usually used with.

Pro means you are for the thing, con means you are against it. Pro choice means you are in favour of the right to choose.
