I am taking my wireless laptop with me for 6 months and would like to connect to the internet as quickly and cheaply as possible when i get there.....any ideas???
I don't think my apartment will have a telephone line.
I have a bluetooth phone , but don't know alot about connecting in this way.

Hi..it would have been good if you had specified the model of your phone so that i could have checked out the specifications..but i do assume your phone does support GPRS...my suggestion you get a GPRS connection along with your mobile phone connection(Airtel and Hutch are the major telecom service providers which give this feature in India)..go in for a unlimited usage plan...(sorry not too sure how much it will cost...i know one of my friends in Pune used it for a while..should'nt be too much though) and you can connect to the internet on your phone via a data cable to your laptop or infrared...hope it helps

If there's no phone point then you can't connect!! Use an internet cafe, cos you'll get your laptop nicked anyway. If you use your mobile it will cost a lot.
