everytime i turn on my laptop my fan makes these strange noises..is it dirty you think?

A noisy fan generally signals that the fan is getting near a failure point.

Cleaning it can help, but as laptops are generally difficult/expensive to repair after a failure, I recommend taking it to a good computer shop. A few dollars to fix a fan now is a lot better than a few more dollars to replace a CPU or the entire laptop.

I totally agree with b gibson! it's getting ready to go kaput! It's only going to cost you a few bucks to get it replaced. if you wait until it dies, your computer overheats, you are looking at a much bigger expense, proabably a new laptop! It's making noise because the bearings in the fan motor are wore out. soon it will lock up and stop turning.

u can get keyboard cleaner and spray in there or like the other person said take it to a shop and get it done however it cost to do that so i just do it myself if u do it urself make sure u touch metal b4 u touch any of the hardware that will get the electricity out of ur hands so u wont mess anything up

yeah just get a vacum cleaner and put that near the airvent this should suck most of it out. or u could take it to a computer shop for proper cleaning.

change it before it stop and the CPU became hot and may that cause it to be damaged
