Are you talking PC games only? If we're talkin PC only then I suggest Dungeon Siege, or Fable. If you've got a PS1 get Final Fantasy 7 (you'll love it), PS2 get Final Fantasy 12. You can also get Final fantasy 7 on PC but it's not as good.

Try Runescape its 100% virus free requires no downloads and has lots of fun stuff to do including what you mentioned above and lots more. If you don't like runescape what you'd look for is a online RPG (MMORPG) which you can always try googling (or should I be saying yahooing)

Heres a good online RPG game. Its a multiplayer game too.
Its called Zeus' Legacy.
Free,fun,worthwhile,and non-download.
