It disappoints me that it is still socially acceptable to say 'because that's what I believe'. A belief is an idea that has no proof, basis, or evidence, so it's staggering to me that, in this enlightened day and age, anyone could still give credence to beliefs.

People not getting along. People blaming someone else for not getting ahead in life. Teenagers having children at 12, 13 years old. Children being sexual victims of sick predators.
