Clean jewelry with emeralds with cool water, very mild soap, and a soft brush OR clean with a soft dry cloth. Rinse and dry. Do not try to clean an emerald with a steam cleaner or an ultrasonic jmachine, or strong detergent, or commercial jewelry cleaner.
