Im almost done on copleting my associate in applied science? but what else do i have to do im stuck? i beleve i have to get a batchelors but on what field? There so many fields in the criminal justice.

In most areas the actual min requriements is just a high school education, but lets talk realistic

Being a state parole officer is a highly sought after position, most are employed though the state depart of Correction, so about 20 percent of all correctional officers already in the system will be applying for that position,

I have found that there is about 300 to 400 applications for any one opening ( more in some areas)

So you will need at least a Bachlelors degree and you can look into social work degree ( often better than criminal justice, since although it is a CJ job, you are considered to be there to "help" them by administration.

Next you may have to get a job as a police officer first while trying for a position.

next there will be a test, written, only the top scores even get called in for a interview. so beating others on the test is of utmost importance.
