Have you never actually READ the Bible --Dude ??
Do you not see the consistant rage of war and pillage contained therein ?? A lot of it centering around the very thing you are asking here-- conflict over land ??
What about a Christian ethic thing do you think saves a people from being sucked into conflict and resolution ??
The individual Christian is expected to show love and honor toward his or her neighbor and to be charitable etc etc etc---but they are never expected to be sheep to the slaughter for the conflicts with nations and the well being of their families , friends and soveriegn rights !!!
On top of all of this---your description of the events here with Mexico is just simply off base 180 degrees from the facts (as explained by several of the respondants here)

If that were the case, the Crusades would never have happened. I've lived here for 42 years. This land belonged to America long before I ever got here, and I'm not going to feel guilty because hundreds of years ago, American forces won a war. Mexico is mainly Christian too, yet illegal aliens come here...work tax free and send the money back to Mexico EVERY DAY! How is THAT not stealing?

The USA does not claim to be a Christian nation. Our leader claims to be a Christian, there is a huge difference. Furthermore, the land was claimed in a time where there was no clear cut preferred religion in the U.S.

As for nowadays, guess what: The U.S. is a sovereign nation that has the right to protect its borders. And to the religious conviction, you are not Jesus Christ and thus you have no right to judge since you yourself are human and thus guilty of sin.

The treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo granted us that land we 'stole'. We paid 15 million for it as well. That's not stealing anything.
