I'm gonna guess....
once upon a time a guy was eating chicken noodle soup and his friend/s came over. After the guy finished eating they went off to a party. And one of them did this weird dance...thing. the rest of the guys asked what he was doing and he thought for a second before saying "the chicken noodle soup!" and they all started doing it. The next day they took a video of themselves and stuck it on youtube somewhere and tada! It was famous.
Remember...this is only an uneducated guess.

One of the newest dances from Harlem, NY. Where you move your arms and legs in a way that looks so cool. And if you can do it well then you will have props.
