I thought she could have won it for my favorite movie she was in-Losing Isaiah.

Well I don't know what that is all about but I think it's because she is a good actress. Are you saying that she doesn't have a right to win an Academy award? Not bashing you or anything but I just want to know your reason. I think she's a good actress in some of her movies so that's why I think she won it. Did you find anything about her saying that? If so, let me know so I can read it,lol, love celebrity gossip,lol!!

I have no idea why she won.
I didn't like the movie at all.
However, she played the role to the best of her abilities. And i guess that got her the prize.
But yeah, like the guy above me said, there's a difference between winning an Oscar and making film history.

ok monsters ball wasn't the best movie in the universe -- most oscar winners aren't. but did you see any of the competition? she deserved it for acting. remember movies like the titanic won like 20 oscars and the whole movie was leo and kate running from water? there is a difference between winning an oscar and making film history.

I just watched Monsters Ball last night. I think she deserved to win myself. Halle was great in the movie.
