Darth vaders real name was David Prowse, he came from Bristol, and was a bodybuilder by trade! And he appeared in a "Tunes" advert during the early 90s (as Darth Vader) and also was in the Green Cross Code adverts of the 1970s

he was definitely a sith. the only real difference between sith and jedi (besides what they believe) is that the sith use dark force powers and the jedi don't. Vader might never have learned to use force lightning, (at least not in the movies) but he embraced the dark side of the force and became a sith.
