I have a pageant coming up for our school---the MISS AHS pageant, and I have NO CLUE what to wear for the interview portion....what's a good idea??? I worrie I'll look to dressy or to casual---I can't seem to find a happy medium!!! Please help me out.....I think part of it is I'm nervous too, but I can deal with that. Please tell me what you think and if you have any tips on the actual interview portion.

Oh and for you alternativepunk----I can be a punk cheerleader because I am punk but I'm a cheerleader---I can be whatever I want because I don't belive in stereotypes and I belive all they do is hurt people. I really don't have a name because I don't fit in any of the "cliques" you may subscribe to. I am an unique , unclassified idividual.

wear a nice pin stripe skirt and jacket and do not wear your hair up. when you do you interview NEVER say um, ah, ect ect. get on the internet and print a list of possible interview questions so you are well prepared for any question that they throw at you. read up pn the news.

Dress business professional. Wear some nice pinstriped black or gray pants with a nice button up white shirt and some nice jewelry. Wear your hair up for a more put together look. Don't wear anything too revealing (no cleavage or miniskirts) because this is the part of the competition where they want to hear about your personality and your brains more. Your best bet is to practice on being calm, confident, knowledgable, and professional. Practice at home with your family and friends.

Depending how old you are: you should wear a just above the knee skirt suit. It should be like the skirt, a blouse, and a vest or blazer that matches the skirt. Medium heeled shoes, and wear panty hose! Its more professional than not wearing any. Good Luck hon!!!!

A nice (not low cut) wrap dress and low sling back heels would look cute for the interview portion. Another option would be a long black pencil skirt and a silky bright colored button down shirt (jewel tones like red, turquose, cobalt blue, emerald green). I would not wear pants unless you also wore a suit jacket with it to dress it up.

I would recommend what could be called a nice "jr career outfit". Meaning you look professional but still cute and age appropritate. Above the knee )but not too short, skirt and matching jacket could work. Most larger dept stores have what is called jr career. Choose a nice color that looks great on you and opt for some up to date accessories to show you are fashion forward.

Try wearing a knee length business skirt, 1.5 inch slightly pointed heel shoes, and one of those business type jackets over a nice blouse. Or you can wear nice business pants, so that you will have a basic business suit. All these things in neutral colors(except for blouse, do it white).

Put your hair up in a low bun to complete it.
Just be confident of yourself and you will do great. You sound like you have a great personality. It's normal to be nervous.

Too dressy, or not, It's not physically possible to be un- impressed by one of these babies!
They are synonymous with the word pageant and when you wear one, you always shine!

go business casual. try wearing a trendy blazer with a cute shirt under, with a nice pair of jeans and a pair of cute heals...look like you care about your looks but aren't trying to hard. :0)

for something cute i would wear brown jeans, or nice pants. wear a cream tank top under a brown jacket. apply light brown eyeshadow near the bottom of your eye lid and then go over your whole eye with cream. apply lipgloss and smile! and don't worry, just have FuN!
