For instance, why do most people find politics, finance, success, self-development and money to be boring topics? These are extremely important issues that affect all of our (and other people's) lives. But, yet many people find these topics to be boring and would rather talk about less significant matters.

The simple answers are; They don't understand them and are too lazy to change this. They are frightened by them and wish to remain ignorant. They have made a concious decision to ignore them in the hope they will go away. They are just like 99% of the world and stupid.

The answer may lie in the experience of the individual.

Those with more experience can more easily see the connections between world, national, and local events. It's a matter of having perspective.

Of course, simple age will take care of this little problem for many of us, but not all!

There will always be a certain percentage of us who actually think the assorted sleeping arrangements of Hollywood stars have significance.

I agree and I think it's so because these are world issues that affects the enitre world and not particularly to the individual, atleast in the short-term. People are more concerned abt their private issues rather than world issues and there are people in power to take care of plitics and stuff like that. We hear world issues everyday, so they become common and tend to focus on our life.

These are self centered people that are only interested in things that pertain to them directly at the present time.

The problem is that eventually the things you ignored such are politics, finance, self development and money , get to pertain to you directly at another time and then it is too late to deal with it.

Because they feel as if they have NO part in changing things one way or the other.
When your input doesn't matter-ya gotta just live with it and thus your interest wanes on the subject!
