Well, some young men drivers "are" reckless, but not "all" of them. I figure that the people who think "all" young guys are reckless, perhaps have had the most bad experiences with them, and not "older" drivers. There are also people who believe once a person hits the ripe old age of 50, they shouldn't get behind the wheel of "anything!" Personally, I hope that when I reach an age where I can't even see correctly "with" my glasses, my reflexes are right, and I am not sure if I just ran a stop sign or not, that I have the God given sense to put my keys away for good. Maybe give the old car to my grand kids. I am 50 "now" and I know quite a few young male & female drivers who drive very well. So it must be a "personal" thing with those "stereotypers", don't you think?

The sterotype is based on statistics taken by insurance companies. I would like to say it is just a sterotype but unfortunatly it is backed by proof. I do realize there are tons of safe young male drivers but the good have to suffer for bad.

Well I hate to say this but if you look at the parking lot at our high school, alot of cars have dents. Matter of fact, a kid hit my son's car. Was on the cell phone and just backed up into it...Alot of young people don't have enough driving experience and aren't responsible for their actions.Sorry. There probably is a one percent that are careful though...

Because the young man driver has to impress everyone else with his many different "skills". And most of the time when you try too hard to impress etc. you mess up.

statistical odds show that many more young men than old wmoen get in accidents .
our own experience usually validates it as well as the logic of testosterone affects.
so the more you know, the more you realize it is true.
