I thought that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was better in every aspect EXCEPT Johnny Depp vs Gene Wilder. I love Johnny Depp, but I thought that Gene Wilder was much better at that role.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory!! No doubt about it!! You can't beat the classics!! But the remake is okay too, but I prefer the original version!!

Willy Wonka by far!!! Gene Wilder is absolutely amazing and not nearly as creepy as Johnny Depp. The music was great and the sets really top notch for the time period!
