Go 15 N to 76 W.

Lots of curvy roads, casinos, beautiful, can take a side trip up Palomar mountaqin and to the observatory or hang with the bikers at Mothers on top of the hill, go to one or both Indian missions, they are good. One is in Pauma one is halfway to tyhe 78 after making a right at the end of the 76. Great mission museum. Lot to do and see going this way.

Take Highway 15 north from San Diego. Exit at the Scripps Poway/Parkway/Mercy Road exit and turn right onto Scripps. Go north on Highway 67 into the town of Ramona.

Just before entering Ramona you will find Schwaesdall Winery (Address: 17677 Rancho de Oro, Ramona ). This is an interesting stop for free wine tasting if you are interested. There's another winery in Ramona. The owner and builder has embedded wine bottles within the beams in the ceilings.

In Ramona you will turn onto Hwy. 78 and follow that road into Julian. There are other wineries on the way to Julian as well as in and around Julian.
