Yes, it's fake, in the sense that it's coreographed and the outcomes are predetermined, but that doesn't mean it's not difficult. Those wrestlers are in peak physical condition and train everyday to maintain themselves and put on a show for so many fans each night. The also know exactly how to perform a manuever without hurting their opponent and still make it look real, which takes a lot of skill. Being slammed onto those mats is probably pretty painful nonetheless.

This question always creates a debate, the overall answer is yes! however, when a wrestler throws a punch, their fist does connect with the opponant, when they go through a table - they do really go through a table and often mistakes are made resulting in proper injury. Professional wrestling has whats known as a booker - he is never shown on screen and is never a part of the script. the booker decides who wins and loses. This is why people call wrestling predetermined. All the wrestling moves are real, kicks connect, slams force the opponant down to the mat with force, but the mat is cushioned and has a big spring underneith it, the punches are done with an open fist, the kicks are done with a limp leg, every move is preformed to look painful but they all have a way to be done safely thus to not cause pain. When a move is done wrongly (by this the move could miss the wrestler completly or accadently hurt one of the wrestlers) this is called a botch - the botches that miss completly pretty much prove that wrestling is faked as often the opponant will act hurt. - look up wrestling botches on youtube and ull see what i mean. Other tricks such as tables are made of partical board and will actually break a wrestlers fall, trashcans are made of aliminium which bashes easily - ull know this if uve ever crushed a coke can. Everything you see in a wwe ring has a booker deciding who wins/loses and the moves are designed not too hurt, if a wrestler does ever get injured its likly a storyline or somethings gone wrong.

Wrestling is like a play,... kinda, its written, and Theres a Pre-Selected winner, but the moves are real,... Like the walls of Jericho or cross Face are actually applied, falling of a latter and hitting the tables is real, like it hurts them, but it was written to happen. So like a powerbomb looks like it hurts more than it does in reality...

So the match and storie is planned out

The Injuries, the falling, the bleeding (caused by Blading) is real

It is ALL fake....I went to a "Wrestling" school in Columbia SC. Think about it....Your in a Tag-Team match....One of your opponents twists your arm and then his Partner, who say weighs anywhere from 100-700 lbs, jumps off the top turnbuckle and lands on the back of your elbow(the elbow DOES NOT bend that way). But after you rub it for 2 or 3 seconds, Your elbow is perfectly Normal....PLEASE.....GIVE ME A BREAK.....Of course Accidents do happen, and people do get hurt....but if a rare occurrence

most of the matches choreographed before hand and manly it's all an act even the blood is all faked out the reason they practice is so noone gets injured during the matches that you see on tv

but you have to remember it's entertainment hence the name wwe (world wrestling entertainment)

The blood is real but most of everything is a story like soap opera. They DO get hurt in the matches but their body can take the beatings.

i think for in depth research u should check wikipedia
it is coreographed, and sometimes the winner is chosen b4 hand. The bleeding is done by themselves; blading.
