I don't care if I get thumbs down for this or not, but some people just hate people! It is easy to make fun of other races because they are different to get a cheap laugh. You would be hard pressed to go into a random room of people and not run into someone who is prejudice. That is just what our world is like...unfortunately.

i'm almost afraid to touch this one... it scares me that there are so many ignorant people in the world.
#1. to the person who said this:
People think they are trying to take over the world financially. I don't know any Jews who are living in poverty and the stereotype florishes! People are jealous of a Jews ability to prosper in nearly any circumstance.
This statement is just not true. Jewish people through-out history have been viewed as the underdog. Seriously, who taught you that - I would really like to know...
#2 - Borat... the point of the jewish jokes in that movie is to point out how ridiculous stereotypes can be... people of the world aren't evovled enough to get the irony. the actor who plays borat (who is a fictional character in case anyone didn't realize that) is jewish himself...
#3 Mel Gibson is an alcoholic bigot.

you got it wrong. its not muslims, it's people from palestine that hate jews. Palestine was an MuslimArab/ChristainArab country. When Jews came to Palestine, they moved the Arabs away to literally a small line strip of the country only. Jews took over the majority of the country and renamed it Israel/changed the flag to the jewish symbol. Til this day, Arabs(palestine) and jews still fight over the land. Palestine doesn't have anything to protect themselves, since jews are still planing to take the WHOLE country. So you can't really say Muslims hate Jews. you have to break it down

Some of the world's best comedians and comediennes are Jewish. Also the Yiddish language is full of comical, whimsical adjectives which have no direct translation into other languages.
As for the hate factor, that has been around since time immemorial. Never forget, however, that the Jews were (and remain) God's oracle people, the "apple of His eye", "the Chosen People."

Jews aren't the only ones that people hate. People hate black people, mexicans, and even orientals. Those people are ignorant and aren't very christian. I feel sorry for them.People hating jews come from the time when Hitler made people believe that the jews needed to be removed from the earth and people still believe that. Jews are God's chosen people because Jesus was a Jew.Well that is my opinion.

I think people in general have someone or the other that they cannot relate with. When people go out of their way to hurt others because of their differences then it shows ignorance on their part.
Talking about Jews, I live in a community of Jews and I am not Jewish, the only understanding I have of them is what I read in the Bible. However it does not make me dislike them.
I went to a theatre to watch a Jewish comedian (forgotten his name now) five years ago, who I once saw on TV. I thought he was so funny and hence wanted to see him live on stage. I was quite surprised, most people in the audience were Jewish listening to this man make jest of the Jewish people.
So is it alright for a Jewish comedian to make fun of his own people and not a non Jewish one?

First, very few actually hate them and they're not the ones making those jokes, contrary to what you may think. Second, some people like myself see there lack of believe in Jesus as a character flaw just like homosexuality. To not trust someone without a good reason is de-constructive. Trying to treat homosexuality as anything other than a mental dissorder that needs treatment like every other dissorder is de-constructive(It can't produce babies!).
