I think it's just that now it's so much easier for people to actually come out and say to people "Hey.. I'm gay!" but the problem with that is that it also makes it easier for people to decide to be gay because it's so widely accpeted. I'm not saying it's a bad thing at all.. all it means is that there are alot more gay people these days than before.
However, there is a side to it where some people think it's 'cool' or 'in' to pretend to be bi.. such as Britney Spears kissing Madonna and hinting that she may be bi.. or whatever.. people like that annoy me and there are alot more people like that in society because they think it's 'hot.'

I hope this answers your question <3

I think that is is "possibly" becoming more accepting in the acting world. Lance Bass did recently come out as well as T.R. Knight from Grey's Anatomy. Now Neil Patrick Harris. I am sure there will be more actors/actress's who will "come out". But I think we need to realize that Homosexuality is something that is completely natural and people are born that way. So I wouldn't say its the "In thing" I would say its becoming socially acceptable in our society. So I don't see it as a shock that multiple people are "coming out" because if they come out when others do, the spot light isnt gonna be on them as long.

I wouldn't say it's the "in" thing so much as the "honest" thing.

There are plenty of closeted celebs in Hollywood and we're just finally getting to a day and age when they can feel safe enough to come out instead of pretending to be someone they're not. It's certainly not easy for these people, so you can be sure they're not doing it to be trendy or something.

I say good for them.

who cares about lance bass and Neil Whats-his-face other than their moms? I don't think it's any of our business what sexual orientation they are.

No it doesn't shock me because they are basically being themselves and letting their fans know about their personal life. They don't owe us that but as a fan I support their work not their sexuality
